“Levitating Mass”, Michael Heizer’s latest creation, is a 340-ton boulder positioned to appear as though it’s floating in midair.
I read in the newspaper it took dozens of people and a specially built trailer to haul it over the surface streets of 22 cities.
I saw on TV the trip took two weeks and that it travelled only at night.

I saw a video on YouTube of it
going 5mph on the freeway.
And the blogosphere is buzzing how the boulder’s story is being made into a movie and that Steven Soderbergh is directing it.
Oh, well, if anyone can tell a slow moving story it’s Steven

I’m not saying that living in Los Angeles makes you feel small…but there’s an effing boulder in this town that gets more attention than I do.
